Lovely clinker built classic launch for sale. Totally refitted and re-launched spring 2008 and sparingly used two seasons. Excellent order throughout. Very roomy boat easily seating 8, safe, dry and stable. Very seaworthy and utterly reliable. Volvo diesel engine, stainless steel tank, new engineering. All new deck fittings, new all-round fenders, new batteries, new canvas work, new all-over winter cover. Loose gear.
This a much admired launch perfect for good times afloat and only lightly used during her first two seasons since extensive re-fit. Regrettably lack of time forces sale. Professionally serviced and maintained.

Moorings paid till 1st October 2010. Also available (for an additional payment) as a Residential Mooring, (You need to speak to the marine manager to arrange this). "Destiny" is moored in Horning, Norfolk. She has a Boat Safety Certificate until 11/02/2013. She Includes the following: Running Hot/Cold Water, 240V Mains Hook-up, Toilet sink & Shower (shower needs shower tray) Chemical Toilet, Gas Cooker & Grill, Gas Central (Warm Air) Heating. Wood Burning Stove (Brilliant for those chilly evenings) Automatic Bilge Pump, Hot Water Tank heats via engine (or) 240V Hook-up. 1.5 BMC, Diesel Engine. (Starts first time). 240V Automatic Battery Charger. 240V Microwave oven. "Destiny" is wooden hull construction with the roof and sides encapsulated in fibreglass. There is no recent hull survey. But the boat was taken out the water in August 2009, The whole bottom was scrubbed, cleaned and antifouled. Many of her hull planks were replaced at a cost of £3.000. The hull sides and back were painted with 3 coats of paint in September 2009. Topside exterior; Needs to be cleaned and painted. There are several cans of marine paint onboard, Including 2.5 Lt of blue, 2.5 Lt of light blue (anti slip), and 2.5 Lt of white. She sleeps up to four people, The forward cabin has two singles (or) one double bed. Rear cabin has one single (or) you will need to buy an additional piece of foam to make a double bed. Note: The rear cabin bed is created via slats placed between the existing seats. There are lots of friendly faces on the marina and is a fantastic, beautiful place to live, (or) ideal as a base in which to explore the broads. Only a short walk from excellent Pubs and Restaurants, and only about 8 miles to Norwich City Centre, And approx. 2 miles to Wroxham. | Motor Boats: For Sale: British Powerboat Company 23ft Launch |

This 23ft motorboat was built in 1936 to go racing by the British Powerboat Company in Hythe, Southampton.
The company was formed by Hubert Scott-Paine in the late 1920's after he sold Supermarine in Woolston (having had the foresight to offer Reginald Mitchell and job as a draughtsman). A big fire at the Hythe boatyard in the 30's destroyed many of the boats so few survive.
As far as I can see there is ten surviving boats, this one, 'Red Fox', named (by me) after Scott-Paine himself is identical to Panther III, Scott-Paine's own boat still owned by his grandson in the USA (I've got photos)
I have two of these boats and with the best will in the world I'm not going to finish both so this one is for sale.
This boat was rebuilt by Phil Clabburn at the same time he rebuilt HSL102 and MGB81, although much smaller he carried out the work to the same exacting standard and Phil should be credited with the work.
The hull has been replanked, its a new mahogany deck, new mahogany transom, it has been eopxy cloth sheathed.
There is a fair amount of work to do, steering, engine, shaft, P bracket, wiring, tanks, deck fittings, but the hard, grotty, time consuming, dirty work has been done, it is in many ways a great opportunity.
If you are interested in owning a pre-war high speed planing motor boat designed and built in Britain with great provenance then your choices are limited! You could either put in a modern diesel or a period petrol, such as a Graymarine which is easily and cost effectively available from the USA. Indeed Panther III is fitted with a Graymarine.
I've been quoted by a shipwright £8,000 for some work on the hull of my other one of these and I want to go ahead, so that is my asking price, I dont imagine I'll get it so haggling is the order of the day.
Trailer included, its a good trailer in good, but if you were planning on going far four new mini tyres would be a good idea.
