Neptunus 145 – Dutch-Built Aluminium Liveaboard / Recommissioning Project (1985)
Sea Streaker III is a large, Dutch-built Neptunus 145 aluminium cabin cruiser offering substantial accommodation and strong live-aboard or floating holiday-home potential. Hand built by Neptunus BV and well specified when new, this was a high-quality motor yacht in its day and remains a solid platform for the right buyer.
Condition / Status (Important)
This is an older boat offered honestly as a project / recommissioning opportunity, priced accordingly.
The boat has been used in recent years as a river-based holiday home / live-aboard rather than actively cruised.
Engines have been started and running in January '26 and, along with other age-related items, will require mechanical attention as part of normal recommissioning. The boat has not been moved for approximately three years.
BSS passed August 2023, valid until August 2027.
Original engine, generator, and onboard equipment manuals included.
Sold as seen, private sale.
Construction & Decks
Aluminium hull and superstructure. Foredeck connected by wide teak side decks to the aft deck with bench seating. Flybridge with sundeck and dual helm positions (wheelhouse and flybridge).
Interior & Accommodation
Timber-finished interior throughout with a bright, spacious saloon. Sleeps up to 8: master cabin with en-suite, additional guest cabins including twin bunks and a forward twin berth. Dinette with wraparound seating opposite the galley converts to a double berth. Layout suits longer stays aboard rather than weekend use. Interior has previously been redecorated with partial re-carpeting and would benefit from freshening.
Equipment Highlights
Generator • Shore power and AC/DC electrics • Hot & cold water via calorifier and immersion heater • Showers • Radar • VHF • Autopilot • Fitted galley with 24/240V fridges, mains hob and microwave (plus additional original equipment).
Ownership / Use
Two previous owners. Very low lifetime cruising usage relative to age.
Location
Currently afloat at Severn Motor Yacht Club on the River Severn (private, gated site). The club is known for very affordable mooring fees, which may be attractive for a buyer wishing to remain afloat while recommissioning. Mooring is not included with the sale; any enquiries regarding availability and terms should be made directly with the club.
Notes
– This is not a turnkey boat
– Viewing and inspection welcomed by appointment
– Genuine enquiries from buyers who understand recommissioning projects only
– No lift-out available on site; any inspection or survey to be arranged by the buyer and carried out in-situ
This was a formally first-rate Dutch-built motor yacht when new, now offered as a recommissioning project with genuine potential for the right buyer who understands aluminium construction and older vessels.
Viewing and inspection welcomed by appointment. Sensible enquiries only - thank you.
