Lucie B was built from scratch in just 4 months by Ashley Butler and his team in Faversham in 2005. Ashley, while working on another Smack made a half model of Lucie B. He drew her lines and built the vessel. He sourced local trades to supply the materials for her and her rig. Fitted her with a new Beta Marine engine.
Her build was well documented in the Classic Boat Magazine, she was used as their display vessel at the London Boat show.
She is presently owned and sailed in her home waters of the River Medway and Thames, she has competed in the OGA Rallies and races.
She has been proven to be a very capable vessel with stable sea manners. The Gaff rig has been kept very Traditional but is not over sized and is easily handled with competent crew.
Below the interior fit out is in a Traditional style: painted stowage and seating. The interior hull planking has been sealed and left exposed.
She is in commission and sailing after her refit 2020.
