Description:
'Gambalino' is a 1970 Broom Ocean 37 with a very pleasant river mooring in Sandwich. Forward cabin with double bed and drawers for storage below. Housed under the bed is the bow thruster and forward is access to the chain locker. There is a wardrobe on port side and on-suite toilet to starboard. The heads contains a Tecma Elegance electric toilet and glass sink with hot and cold water. Under the floor there is a diverter valve that connects the toilet to the holding tank or to the outside and under the cabin floor there is a macerator pump to empty the holding tank if pump out facilities are not available. Above there is a circular hatch which is also an escape hatch. Forward of the hatch, on deck is an electric windlass with a 35kg stainless steel bow anchor. There is a Hotpoint front loading washing (currently faulty). Saloon with steering position position to starboard and newly upholstered U shaped settee which converts into a double bed. By the steering wheel there is the digital control and thermostat for the Eberspacher D5 Airtronic 5 kilowatt diesel heater, new 2016. Under the floor there are 2 Perkins HT6.354 engines showing just over 2000 hours. In 2018 the turbos were removed and reconditioned and in 2017 alternators were rebuilt to include electronics within the body of the units. The main stainless steel fuel tank is also here. The rear bulkhead contains all the electrical controls. 3 switch panels for the 12 & 24 volt systems. All the old wiring was also replaced in 2015. Distribution panel for 230 volt systems and controller for the 4X80 watt flexible solar panels, fitted 2018. Also the control panel for the Dolphin 6kva (currently known as the Paguro 6000) generator. Behind the steps there is a 2017 Sterling Power Pro Charge Ultra 30 amp 24 volt battery charger. This augments a similar 2016 Sterling 20amp charger and can be run together to provide for 50 amps of charging. Under the step with the 20 amp charger there is a 2000 watt inverter which drives all the AC services. For sensitive equipment there is also a 400 watt pure sine wave inverter. Galley is situated at the port side of the boat and contains a Corian sink, worktop and splashback. Under the worktop there is a Hotpoint dishwasher. Against the hull there is a nest of 13 drawers for storage and a microwave. Opposite there is the cooking area with new gas hob and underneath a large oven. At the back there is a full sized fridge/freezer. Under the galley floor there are 2 engine starter batteries. 4X100 amp/hour AGM deep cycle batteries 2017. Starter battery for generator. Hot water is obtained from isotherm tank with immersion heater or from a gas water heater. Going aft on starboard side there is the main toilet and shower. This contains a Jabsco delux electric toilet and multi function shower. The TV room contains 2 bench seats which can be modified to give 6 foot bunks under which are the plastic water tanks, fitted 2017 and hold over 700 litres. At the back there is a 117 litre plastic diesel tank, 2016, which mainly supplies the generator and central heating but can also feed into the main engine tank. Above is the upper steering position with 2 seats and 2 benches with storage. The canopy was made in 2015. Outside there are davits with a 3.3m Caribe rib and 6hp Tohatsu 4 stroke outboard. Other work done in 2017 when out of the water. All old antifoul removed then 5 coats of Jotun special paints including antipest, vinylguard, penguard and Mare Nostrum which is effective for at least 3 years. New cutlass bearings fitted. Propellers pitched and balanced. New anodes fitted.
