This is definately a boat with a difference. Originally built by J G Parham & Sons of Emsworth, Hampshire with a full mahogany interior, probably in the late 50's.You have the authenicity, feel and smell of a classic wooden cruiser without the problems that can and do unfortunately occur with wooden hulls. This hull was in such a bad state of repair it has been entirely removed and replaced with a new 4mm steel one. She is 30ft with a beam of 11ft 6ins making her a very comfortable and roomy craft.Powered by twin Mercedez 2 litre diesel engines. Both hot and cold water are available and she also has warm air heating available too. The wheelhouse with instrumentation (which would need checking and reconnecting) has a large lift off hatch for those sunny days when we are lucky enough to get them. Right forward there is a sea toilet, aft of this two separate bunks, continuing aft is a compact galley space with stainless steel sink and room for oven and hob. Aft again to the wheelhouse.Sailor VHF radio.Leaving the wheelhouse aft there is a small wash hand basin on the port side, then two separate bunks and on the s/bd side a small toilet compartment. Double doors lead to the aft open cockpit. This boat needs a little tlc but is ready to go..Safety Certificate November 2011.Definately one to view. |

A rare opportunity to purchase our 27ft Dawncraft classic centre cockpit river Cruiser -A very much loved and well looked after gem that is now looking for a new owner.
The boat is of GRP construction, has a full Boat Safety Certificate until 2014, and river licence paid until April 2011, it was Anti-fouled in 2009/10. This boat is sound and 100% ready to go, only reason for the sale is that we are purchasing a narrowboat, this boat would suit either a first time boat owner or a Dawncraft enthusiast, so grab it now!!
The boat is in excellent condition, very well maintained inside and out, has 4/6 berths with toilet cubicle, galley saloon and v berth. A 240v landline + 12v system, also automatic bilge pump on own system. Starter/leisure batteries, also gas safety alarm and a Solar panel, everything needed for cruising, ideal for rivers and canals
Included in the sale are two Gas bottles, an anchor, fire extinguishers, fire blanket, curtains and upholstery, all mooring ropes, windlasses, boat pole, fenders, lump hammer and mooring pins.
It has had a full Interior refit, new canopy, seats fore and aft, toilet compartment with new Portapotti 365, Immaculate Yamaha 9.9 h.p. electric start inboard outboard with little use, electric choke and oil light. Very economical. First time start and very quiet, electric water pump to sink, 2 burner cooker and separate engine starting battery system. The boat has mahogany grab rails on the roof There is a huge solar panel on the roof that trickle charges the two 100AH leisure batteries which is a fantastic addition to this boat. The Canopy is less than one year old, in good condition and is fully retractable for those fantastic summer cruises, the hard top cockpit roof section hinges forward in the summer days and evenings but can equally be left up just in case it rains,
There is a step down in to the main cabin with a self contained toilet room to the left which has recently been decorated, this could very easily house a shower at minimal cost, included in the sale is the Porta Potti 365 cassette toilet.
To the right of the toilet compartment is a low-level cupboard that has 12V plug sockets for charging mobile phones etc, also there is a 240V plug socket that can take a TV or laptop which will run off the mains supply when on a suitable mooring.
Forward of this cupboard and remaining on the starboard side there is a bench seat that converts to a double bed in the evening with a table that drops down to make the double bed, the cushions on this are in great condition and really comfortable, they are upholstered in green PVC. There is ample storage under both bench seats for clothes and bedding etc.
To the port side just opposite the toilet room is the galley area, this has a two burner SMEV hob and sink combination with mixer tap, this is 3 months old and in 100% perfect working order, the sink unit has an electric pump fitted to the two water tanks that are under the centre cockpit floor. Under the cooker and the sink is plenty of cupboard space to store plates pots pans etc etc.
All of the interior has been decorated and all units and cupboards have brand new doors the floor is carpeted and the ceiling has been re-lined
The rear cabin is spacious with two full height wardrobes and two single beds/seats either side of the engine cubicle. There is ample storage space under these two seats.
Perfect for river cruising.......just take a look.
